iPhone 6 Prototype
Analyst Peter Misek with Jefferies says there are iPhone 6 prototypes floating around, including one with a giant screen, reports Business Insider.

Several iPhone 6 prototypes appear to be floating around. The model with a 4.8″ screen is the most interesting. It has a Retina+ IGZO screen, a new A7 quad-core processor variant, and a new form factor with no home button. Full gesture control is also possibly included.

The idea of Apple dropping the home button has been rumored in the past but hasn’t materialized. Although, Apple has added gesture controls to the iPad.

Apple to Begin Trial Production of iPhone 5S in December {RUMOR}

Apple is preparing to begin trial production of a new iPhone 5, or iPhone 5S, in December, reports DigiTimes citing a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

Initial production volumes are thought to be around 50,000-100,000 units.

Facing low yield rates in the production of iPhone 5, Apple has accelerated the certification processes for related parts and components for the iPhone 5S, the paper revealed.

The rumored iPhone 5S is expect to enter volume production in the first quarter of 2013. In addition, the report says Apple will likely release a new version of the iPad a quarter later than the iPhone 5S, “since the display resolution of its latest version of iPad has come out lower than expected”.

Microsoft is Secretly Working on an Xbox Surface Tablet (RUMOR)

Microsoft is reportedly working on a 7-inch Xbox Surface tablet that will focus on gaming, according to The Verge.

The Xbox Surface will likely include a custom ARM processor and high-bandwidth RAM designed specifically for gaming tasks. We’re told these specifications could be altered to accommodate an unannounced Intel SoC and that the Xbox Surface is being developed independent of specific hardware architecture. Microsoft’s Xbox Surface won’t run a full version of Windows, rather this 7-inch tablet will run a custom Windows kernel. Messaging and other tablet functions may be supported, but the focus is on gaming.

The company is said to have recently locked down several buildings limiting employee access to the Interactive Entertainment Business division as secret testing of the tablet intensifies.

Microsoft refused to comment on speculation and rumors.
