This said-to-be iPad Mini LCD Screen is almost 8- inch with about 162mm in length and 124mm in width. The previous exposed iPad Mini LCD is 16:9, but the one we have got is almost a ratio of 4:3 as usual.

Unknown iPad3,6 Model Appears in App Analytics

20121006-092326.jpg

A previously unseen iPad3,6 device has appeared in a developer’s app analytics, reports MacRumors. The device runs on the ARMv7s architecture used by the A6 SoC found in the iPhone 5.

It is unclear exactly what this new iPad device represents, as an “iPad3,6″ designation would seem to imply a derivative of the current-generation iPad, which is designated “iPad3,1″, “iPad3,2″, and “iPad3,3″ for the various Wi-Fi and cellular models. There have been rumors that Apple is planning to release a tweaked version of the third-generation iPad in the coming weeks in order to incorporate a Lightning connector and other internal changes, but it seems difficult to believe that such a release would also include an upgrade to the new A6 chip.

It’s also suggested that perhaps the device could be next year’s model; however, that would be more likely to carry an “iPad 4,x” designation.

Previous reports have identified the iPad mini as running the A5 chip and being represented in logs as iPad2,5 and iPad2,6. MacRumors says its source has also seen these entries.

The WSJ is confirming that mass production of the iPad mini has started in Asia.

Asian suppliers for Apple Inc. have started mass production of a new tablet computer smaller than the current iPad, executives at component makers said, as the Silicon Valley company tries to stay competitive against tablets from rivals such as Google Inc. and Amazon.com Inc.

The smaller tablet will have a 7.85-inch liquid-crystal display with a lower resolution than the latest iPad, which was released in March, two of the people said. The screen on the current iPad measures 9.7 inches diagonally, a size that hasn’t changed since the first model was released in 2010.

Apple to Send Out iPad Mini Event Invitations on October 10th {RUMOR}

Apple will send out invitations to an event to unveil the iPad mini on October 10th, reports Fortune.

This is a rumor we have no reason to believe except it comes from a major Apple investor who says he’s heard it from “multiple sources.” According to our source, who asked not be named, there appears to be some truth to the widespread rumors that Apple is preparing to launch a smaller and cheaper version of the iPad — often called the iPad mini or iPad air and usually described as having a 7.85-inch screen.

The source says invitations to the iPad mini event will go out on October 10th which could suggest a date of Wednesday, October 17th for the event.
